When Roy Orbison’s sons discovered a cassette tape with a previously unreleased song written and sung by their father, they went to work adding other instruments around his voice to bring the song to life. Sarah composed and performed the string parts for this project.

The O’Carolan Songwriter Project, spearheaded by Candace Corrigan and Janne Henshaw, takes English translations of Irish lyrics by the 17th century composer, Turlough O’Carolan, and sets them in singable song form. Sarah worked with the project as arranger and performer. The group filmed this video in Nashville’s historic Belmont Mansion, with the help of the Flat Creek Dancers and Sarah’s little daughter, Kira.

The Middle Tennessee Sinfonietta- founded and conducted by Jeffrey Keever- released their first performance via livestream in early 2021. Sarah was delighted to serve as both concertmaster and soloist for this selection.

Sarah’s collaboration with Canadian singer-songwriter Steve Benoit and Nashville powerhouse Robin Ruddy features fiddle tunes, three part harmony, and a fresh spin on classic folk songs.

Nashville singer/songwriter/producer Justine Blazer had a unique vision for her single, “Just Sing,” that included hammered dulcimer. Dulcimer happens to be one of the skills in Sarah’s arsenal, and a dulcimer flavored pop song was born.

Sarah was happy to arrange and perform string tracks for Tammy Castleberry’s beautiful ballad, “Piece of Stone.”
